Senior year has finally started and this is all I have been waiting for since the day I started my freshmen year. I am excited to see what this school year will have in store for me. At times it went by pretty slow, but now that I think back it got here in a blink of an eye. It is barely a week into school and I already feel overwhelmed. I am not stressed with homework just yet, but taking in all the information to start out the year has been a little much. It is hard to get back on a routine of doing homework and balancing out my time. I need to get use to waking up, going to school, coming home, doing homework and doing it over again. Now that it has all started, I wish I would’ve picked easier classes. I know I won’t struggle with learning the material, but I will just have a lot of work to do. Since I do tend to slack off from time to time, that will just be 10 times harder to complete everything on time. Along with the class work I have to work on college applications, SAT/ACT test, and senior projects. It is a lot of work, but I know once it is all finished and I graduate it will all be worth it.
There are so many things to be done; I just don’t know what to do first. In all my other classes I am just going with the flow for now. Once I get on top of things I will begin to try and go ahead, or at least move a little faster than the rest of the class. I am really focusing on keeping my GPA at at least a 3.0. I hope to stay there and I will spend many nights with only a couple hours of sleep like I have in the past to get to that spot. It is something my family is not used to seeing and I love to make my family proud.
Senior year came faster than I thought and I know it will fly by me and I will wonder where the time went. As of right now, I am trying to take advantage of the time I have and do as much as I can with the little free time I do have. I hope I don’t go crazy or fall behind while I try to wrap my head around the fact that it is my last high school year. Anyways, senior year I am ready for you!
